The last time we had heard of Bobby Deol was when he turned into a DJ at a pub in Delhi and apparently played Gupt songs on loop making the crowd go mad so much that they ended up asking for a refund. In case you were living under a rock—yes, that happened.
Remember the last movie he had featured in? He did quite a few movies including Singh Saab The Great (2013) and Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (2013) in the recent past, but it didn’t work wonders at the box office, and neither did he manage to grab some limelight. His career had failed and the actor now has no qualms in accepting the same.
From an actor to a DJ, Bobby failed miserably at whatever he tried his hands on, and he certainly knows about it too. He will now feature in Poster Boys, a film co-produced and directed by Shreyas Talpade.
“I did absolutely nothing over the last four years. I don’t know what went wrong. Either I was not appealing, or, the roles that I wanted to be part of, did not come my way. I laid low since I was losing the plot,” he told Mid-day in an interview.
He said that this time was “most frustrating and depressing.” Now, he is looking forward to his second innings. He wants to portray more “character roles” now.
Considering his hit films that we still remember him for, Soldier, Barsaat, and Bichhoo, we would want him to come back with a bang. All the best, Bobby Deol.
