To err is human, to forgive is divine. A few words can be taken back, a few actions can be retraced but there are a few episodes, incidences of words used wrongly and actions adopted unjustifiably leading to a permanent dent in people’s lives. Salman Khan, you erred we forgive – after all, that’s what Being Human is all about.
As Salman might enter the exile of suffering, we leave Him to square deal and we, as humans join hands to appreciate humanity.
Just because we hate you for a lot of reasons, doesn’t mean we cant love you for much more ->
1. We saw your shades of white in Big Boss
A good host but a fantastic person – we got a glimpse of the real you (in spite of most of the show being scripted) through your interactions with the contestants. All the followers of Big Boss would justly agree – Big Boss brought out the best in You.
2. You laughed for us; we laughed with you
Andaaz Apna Apna, Judwaa, Partner, Wanted, Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya, Ready, Hello Brother – some of these may have flopped but your contagious laughter kept us roaring all throughout, and again and again.
3. You played the Good Samaritan in real life
Salman Khan’s Being Human charitable trust befriended the underprivileged. Truly noble truly human – you have the blessings from all of those whose lives you touched.
4. You displayed the sweet responsibility of friendship
Aren’t we aware of Sallu bhai’s magnanimous heart – Sanjay Dutt aka Sanju baba; the TDH, Ajay Devgan; Aamir Khan aka Mr perfectionist; a close comrade for so many, we can truly imagine why they like you so much?
5. The loving Prem in reel life, ever so romantic in real life
Your love is unexampled – took you to where you are, yet brought you to where you are.
6. You never chickened out to shoulder the blame.
‘If the film is a hit then everyone shares the success. If it is going to be a disaster then it might as well be because of me, not because of somebody else.’ – Salman Khan
7. You taught your audience – the importance of working out
Your shirtless andaaz wooed the audience, nd melted the hearts of many a million.
8. A cute friend, but a cuter enemy
‘I hate people who come and badmouth Shah Rukh in front of me simply because Shah Rukh and I are not on talking terms. I can understand if Shah Rukh talks ill of me or if I talk ill of him, but I can’t take it if somebody else talks ill of him to win my favour. Not done!’ – Salman Khan
9. Salman Khan: the only person you ever hurt is yourself
As Charles Dickens said, “these are the worst of times, these are the best of times”. It hurts to see you punished. We know you are wrong, but still.
