It’s been three years since the release of Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, but the memories are still fresh. Visuals of a hunky Salman Khan playing Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi, a character unlike any of his previous ones, and him turning every stone to send a little girl, Munni who couldn’t speak or hear, back home safely, instantly flood the mind. Munni was portrayed by the adorable Harshaali Malhotra and to say that she won hearts for her innocence would be an understatement. While the duo shared an unmatched bond on-screen, they left a lasting impression on the minds of the audience (including yours truly) and the spell continues.
And the film not only garnered good reviews by fans and critics alike but also minted big bucks at the box office making it the first Rs 300 crore film of Salman. In fact, not just in India, the film also collected big moolah overseas and awed audiences in places like China and continues to do so even today. If that doesn’t speak on behalf of the project, I don’t know what does! Apart from that, it also proved that love goes beyond borders. Why the sudden nostalgia, you ask? Well, it isn’t a random musing.
The film recently completed 3 years recently, and Harshaali shared an unseen poster that will take you back in time. It has Salman carrying her on his shoulder and it’s too cute to go amiss. She captioned the picture as, “Unseen poster of #bajrangibhaijaan #3yearsofbajrangibhaijaan #immense #love #gratitude #happiness #actorlife #harshaalimalhotra #beingsalmankhan #kabirkhankk.” Here, have a look.
The film also had Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a pivotal role who made the story complete with his endearing performance as a Pakistani journalist, Chand Nawab. It also brought Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan together again as a pair and it was not surprising to see them hit it off so well.
