Varun Dhawan is a bonafide star and there are no two ways about it. Be it his boyish charms or acting chops, the man of the moment has proven his mettle time and again and dare you to doubt that. But that’s not even the best part; very few actors try to break the mold and experiment after having cracked the box-office formula but Varun is one of them. And we love it! Having said that, we also dig a good popcorn-entertainer by the talent-house performer, who never fails to amuse.
And if you share the sentiment, you’re in luck. Because, according to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Varun is all set to collaborate with daddy Dhawan to revive his No 1 series that has been immortalized by Govinda on-screen. In the same report, a source was quoted saying, “Impressed with Varun’s performance in one of his upcoming films, David wanted to collaborate with his son again for an out-and-out comedy, for which he has already begun pre-production and is frequently meeting with technicians.”
And hey, it will be no rehash of the older ones. “This one isn’t a remake like Judwaa 2, but an original script that will revive David’s No 1 series. David and Varun are hoping to recreate the magic with this film, which is expected to roll next year. The rest of the casting will begin after the script is locked,” the source added. Wow, wouldn’t that be something? Now, we don’t know about you but we can’t wait to see this materialize. On the other side, Varun is currently busy promoting his film, Sui Dhaaga, opposite Anushka Sharma, and will be seen next in Karan Johar’s Kalank.
